The Basics, and The Good News

From October 13th - November 6th 2025, Venus will be in Libra, a part of the zodiac in which they are very comfortable. Venus signifies relationships, connection, art, music, beauty, fairness, values, balance, joy, and pleasure. When Venus is in Libra, we are able to engage with these themes with more ease and more agency.

Connecting with others with more ease, comfort, or reciprocity.

Experiences of beauty or cool art.

My hope is that these weeks will help us find joy and ease itself.

What makes me even more hopeful about the sweetness of this transit, is the further-stabilizing, supporting influence of Jupiter who is sending Venus an overcoming square at this time. This may amplify the favorable outcomes of Libra house topics in the second half of October into November. Finally, Saturn is no longer aspecting Libra, and so Venus’ goodness is not impeded by either Saturn, nor Mars.

Nuance and Caveats

In addition to these generally positive themes, Venus and Libra also signify the conceptual realm of values, ethics, and what is fair (these are subjective to the individual). Before Venus, we had Inanna, a love goddess and a warrior goddess who would sometimes fight to restore what they thought was out of order or balance.

While Venus in Libra can be a time of clarity about our own personal ethics and what we value, sometimes that clarity comes because those values are being challenged or questioned. Discomfort can arise from all of this, which is the opposite of the aforementioned ease and joy. Fairness and values can be challenged, and when they are, Libra/Venus transits become less about social butterflies and good photography composition, and more about embodying or expressing one’s values.

Healthy Boundaries vs Censorship

Saturn exalts in Libra (really loves it there), and shares qualities with Libra. While Venus and Saturn are very different in what they symbolize, they agree there are rules for social engagement, benefits of mutual respect. They both understand how to write up a contract and commit to a relationship. But like anything, these themes can become distorted or over-emphasized. At worst, rules turn rigid, people pleasing behavior attempts to control outcomes of relationship, and censorship of self or other starts to quiet honest expression.

Venus’ awareness of the other, and consideration for how they will be received is a beautiful quality to have in relationship. But when that awareness is paired with fear, the others-awareness so strong in Libra Venus can turn into loss of self, self-abandonment, and self-censorship. Fake harmony wrought from control and fear of un-belonging vs true harmony cultivated through reciprocal exchange and respect. Venus in Libra can do both depending on other factors in the sky or birth chart. This could be a beneficial time to assess how much of yourself is censored in order to maintain an illusion of peace.
