Flirting in the Birth Chart

Here are a dozen things in your birth chart that can show how you FLIRT!

Look at the zodiac sign that holds:

• your Venus

• the planet ruling Venus’s sign

• your 5th house

• the planet ruling the 5th house

• your 7th house

• the planet ruling the 7th house

• your Lot of Eros

• the planet ruling the Lot of Eros

• the Ascendant

• the ruling your Ascendant’s sign

• your 3rd house

• the planet ruling the 3rd

For each sign, consider how polarity, modality, and element will affect the presentation or outcomes.

• Diurnal signs operate more quickly and tend to more readily engage externally with the world, whereas nocturnal signs are slower and more internally-focused in expression.

• Cardinal signs are fast, fixed are slow, and mutable signs are changeable. Cardinal and mutable signs speak to many relationships, and fixed signs fewer.

• Air, water, fire, and earth will all influence someone’s style of flirting and connection in the ways those elements influence planets.

An Example

If Venus is in Aquarius, and we know Aquarius is a fixed (slow), diurnal (externalizing, faster than nocturnal), and air (thoughts, ideas, potentials) = perhaps that person will have a slow, intellectually-focused, thoughtful way of flirting, talking about big ideas with others, or discussing the things a Melvin just wouldn’t understand. And this, before sharing more personal facets.

If Aquarius is in your 3rd house, this intellectual, more careful approach may describe how you talk in general.

Maybe your Lot of Eros is in Aries, and flirting, making friends, or catching feelings happens quickly! Maybe you take risks for love!

Or maybe you’re like me, have a couple of these, and navigate the interesting, sometimes confusing results o_O

As you just saw in the example, testimony you find from each of the above dozen factors may be congruent, synergistic, complementary, or may differ greatly. However all of them considered will paint a picture of how someone goes about connection romantically.

Is the list a bit overwhelming? You can do this in levels!

• For beginners, focus on the sign your Venus is in. What does that sign’s element, modality, and gender say about their approach to flirting?

• Beginner-intermediate folks, add in the planet ruling Venus’ sign.

• Solid Intermediate? Start considering multiple of the above, see which testimonies differ.

• Advanced astro-friends, consider all of the above and synthesize the various ways someone might attempt romantic connection, and what areas of life might get wrapped up in those endeavors as well.
